Emily Procter

 

American actress Emily Mallory Procter was born October 8, 1968. She was Ainsley Hayes's character in The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002; 2006), and Det. Calleigh Duquesne was the lead character in a CBS police procedural show called CSI: Miami (2002–2012).



 



 Early life



 Procter was born on October 8th of 1968. William Procter, an obstetrician had adopted her as an infant . He also adopted Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. Procter was born in Raleigh. She was 3 years old when she divorced her parents. She has an older brother, Whit also adopted.



 



 Ravenscroft School, Raleigh was Procter's primary school. Procter attended East Carolina University and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi. She worked as a television anchor for WNCT-TV Greenville, North Carolina. After graduation, she received degrees in journalism, and dance.
